After our trip to France and Spain, we did not want that huge journey by coach again and I talked Mary into trying a flying holiday to Majorca. She had never been keen on flying and was very nervous about going. But when we actually got on the plane and it started out the nerves went and we had no problems.
While we were there we got talking to another couple who had been to Canada the year before. We talked it over and checked the finances and decided the next year, (2000) we would make the trip. We booked for nine days in Toronto and I hired a car for seven of them to get around. What a great place Canada is. If you have never been I can highly recommend it. Toronto is huge with massive skyscrapers and the C.N. Tower is incredible. We drove over 1500 miles in that week but it is such a huge place we barely touched the surface.
